Since June 2014 tennis player Sabine Lisicki and Dr. Schär, market leader in Europe for gluten free foods, have been shedding light on the subject “gluten-free” and are nowlaunching a major informational campaign on gluten sensitivity. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of gluten sensitivity, clear up confusion around a  gluten-free lifestyle and debunk misconceptions.

For a long time, Sabine Lisicki had no idea what was wrong with her. She frequently suffered from stomach pains, nausea and was unable to concentrate properly. In 2011, after collapsing on court, she finally got the correct diagnosis – gluten sensitivity. While she now knew what the problem was, her newly diagnosed condition was still a mystery not only to herself, but to most people. Even today, there is still a huge gap in the general public’s awareness and understanding of gluten sensitivity.

That is precisely why Sabine Lisicki has teamed up with Dr. Schär to make more people aware of the condition and clarify some fundamental issues. She will be supported by leading experts in the field of gastroenterology and nutrition, who will help her take a closer and more critical look at how to deal with gluten sensitivity. After all, for sufferers like Sabine Lisicki, a gluten-free diet is the only way to live symptom and pain free. The aim is to actively help people with gluten sensitivity, and in particular, make it easier for sufferers to quickly adapt to a gluten-free diet once they have been diagnosed.

During the campaign, an eBook is to be launched as a comprehensive source of information for consumers.
